We are in full go mode in planning for Abby’s 5th Birthday – Ice Cream Party. It wasn’t much more than a month ago when I was saying, “Washi Tape. What’s Washi Tape? I want some.” (Anyone else such an “Elf” fan that they picked up on that?) I made my first Washi tape purchase so I could decorate these cute wooden spoons I found on Etsy. I had seen this idea on Te and Baby, and with an ice cream party on the horizon, I just had to do it. I found the Washi tape at Target, and I knew it would fit right in with our theme. They were really easy to make.
1. Materials Needed: Washi Tape (Target, Wooden Spoons (Etsy), Exacto Knife, and scissors.
2. Stick Washi Tape to the spoon in the desired location.
3. Trip around with scissors or exacto knife.
Omg! Love this. I wish I had seen this sooner. Thanks for sharing!

Nice! There’s so much you can do with it.
So cute! The sayings are perfect.
I know. It was a total coincidence that the sayings were so appropriate and the colors worked.
I just saw that tape on clearance at my grocery store but had NO idea what it would work for … this is an awesome idea! I think I’ll have to run back and get some!
Thanks so much. It did work out pretty well. I need to start collect washi tape, I think. I have seen so many cool ideas for it.
