One of the best ways to remain humble is to recognize and acknowledge the values of others. Today we had some guys working in our yard. I talked to the kids about how everyone is so valuable and has important jobs that help others and make this world work as everyone contributes. Today was a thank you day. I had originally intended to run errands and make a thank you card for every employee we encountered, but the timing with our errands and making cards never worked out. However, we had a card we made a while back when we did our “Children’s Art Cards.” That was one of my favorite projects, so I hope you’ll look back at it so you can make your own. Today we made cookies for the guys working in the yard and filled our our thank you card with a message and drawings. Yes, the little guy did escape with one of the cookies in his mouth before I was able to stop him…stinker. I hope that my kids can learn to value all people so that pride does not rear it’s ugly head.
Humility
“He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble His way.” – Psalm 25:9
This would be a great project for the fruit of the spirit song.
I don’t think I know that song. I’ll have to look it up.
Good job in training your children. It is the foundational training that pays off in later years. P.S. Found you through Feathered Nest Friday…
