These flamingo birthday party ideas will be sure to delight. My sister-in-law pulled out another show stopper when it came to her daughter’s 5th birthday party. From the food to the decorations, everything was thoughtful and designed.
If you haven’t seen her parties before, you’ll definitely want to check out her picnic birthday party and art birthday party. Actually, if you are a fan of birthday parties like we are, you will want to explore my entire party archives tab.

The flamingo party display table was covered with a black tablecloth. She used her Cricut machine to cut out an array of pink card stock and make them into the adorable flamingo garland. She clipped them onto the pink baking twine with little black clothes pins.
She decorated the table with bright pink silk flowers. She found her peonies on clearance at Pier 1, but I linked to a similar look online. She put these in small vases with white sand. She also found a pink flamingo statue at Hobby Lobby. I couldn’t find the exact one, but I found a great one on Amazon.
The black plastic forks had pink feathers tied on the end with black and white bakers twine. Dessert was served on small black paper plates.
Flamingo Cupcakes
These flamingo birthday party ideas include these adorable flamingo cupcakes. I love the display with the flamingo cupcake toppers (couldn’t find the exact ones) and black and white cupcake liners. I recommend my white velvet cake and amazing buttercream frosting. These cupcakes were displayed on a two black cakes stands, stacked.
This cute flamingo cake was put on top of a white scalloped cake stand. She used pink sparkle paper to cut out the flamingo wings. She also added a plastic flamingo head to complete the design. She bought a yard flamingo, cut off the head and painted it to match the cake design and color.
Another part of the flamingo dessert display table was the candy. She had pink and white candy sticks, black chocolate Sixlets and pink spiral lollipops.
Flamingo Birthday Party Ideas – Table Decor
The tablescape had the black table cloth, silk flowers in vases, party bags, table setting and adorable flamingo placemats.
The Cricut was used again to make the names of the guests as well as the flamingos for the black and white polka dot party bags (link to something similar). She bought a  black and white polka dot shower curtain at Bed, Bath and Beyond, and I have linked to something similar at Amazon. She hung that in the background of both the display table and the table for eating. The pink plastic silverware was tucked inside a black and white polka dot paper that was cut and folded.
Flamingo Birthday Party Ideas – Food
Just as flamingos eat pink to obtain their beautiful body color, so did our hostess make all of the food options pink.
Adding pink food coloring to the water while cooking the pastas opened up a lot of opportunities with different pasta salads. The same technique with pink water was used to boil all of the potatoes for the potato salad. The food absorb the food coloring and impact the color.
The chips and veggies were served with pink colored dip. Other food included smoked salmon, ham-cheese & olive bites, and watermelon.
Pink lemonade, water and coffee was served to complete the dining experience.
All the food was super tasty and enjoyed by all. it was so creative to come up with a menu that she was able to turn pink.
Flamingo Birthday Party Ideas – Invitation
The Cricut was obviously very needed to accomplish this party, including the invitations. I love the look that helped party guests anticipate the theme of the party.
Flamingo Birthday Party Ideas – Pinata
Would a party be complete without a piñata? Daddy to the rescue. He definitely impressed us all with the final product, and it provided a lot of fun for the guests.
