This party was thrown for my adorable niece. My sister-in-law plans an amazing party. You might want to check out her picnic birthday party idea or her pink and orange first birthday party for her other daughter. Here you will find food and decor ideas for a lavender, lemon and lace theme.
My sister-in-law always starts the party off right with a beautiful invitation. This gorgeous lace and lavender invite hints at the theme in a classy way.
You know what they say about first impressions. This party doesn’t disappoint. There was a beautiful homemade lavender wreath greeting us at the front door. The table is always decked out to fit the theme. My sister-in-law adapts the photo display on her wall behind the table to embrace the birthday theme. It always adds to the look. I also love the huge ballon she added to the high chair to add a festive touch.
I always love to make a beautiful table for parties. As you can see, my sister-in-law loves it too. These antique glass plates add a beautiful touch. Each place setting had a name card to match the theme, using paper doilies. The paper lace doily placemat and lavendar table covering worked perfectly to complete the look. Also at each place setting was a little glass jar (I couldn’t find the exact one on Amazon) filled with lavender and topped off with lace ribbon. She used a trifle bowl with a large candle in the center. This was covered by sticks of lavender, a strand of lace, lavender fabric and a fine hemp string.
This party was a brunch celebration, and the food matched the theme beautifully. There were blueberry parfait cups, lemon bars, lavender scones presented in a homemade lace bowl, and egg cups served in lace cupcake holders. It was accompanied by lemonade and coffee with edible lace doilies.
As with everything else about this party, the presentation of food was a stellar display of beauty.
The edible lace doily on top of this lavender cake was adorable and…
…was properly destroyed by my beautiful niece.
The family is dressed and the presents are wrapped to match the them. Yes, it’s like a scene out of a magazine.
A birthday party doesn’t need to be this fabulous. The real purpose is to celebrate life. If this breathes life into your family, I’m sure you will have a lot of inspiration to enjoy a lavender, lemon and lace theme for a baby or wedding shower, birthday party or special tea.
Beautiful!
Thanks. My sister-in-law does such a great job.
GORGEOUS! I want this for my NEXT party! Great job!
Thanks so much. 🙂
