Our secret burger sauce recipe is not such a big secret anymore. Dressing up a plain old burger isn’t hard. It takes a few simple ingredients and only a few minutes to add a special sauce to your burger and make it feel restaurant-quality.

My husband and I like food. We love to visit a variety of restaurants and try new things. We were at a restaurant on a date night, and he ordered a burger with their special sauce. He loved it. I tasted it. I loved it.
He was taking his fries and scooping up any sauce that had spilled out onto the plate, so there was none left behind. We have always found that it never hurts to ask what is in a recipe you enjoy at a restaurant.
Oftentimes, they will let you know. We always like to try to guess before we ask the waiter or waitress, and see if we are close in picking out the flavors. We didn’t do so bad with our guessing on this one.
Of course, the next time we made a burger, we had to try to re-create this sauce. We quickly adopted it as our own secret sauce, but in the blogging world, nothing stays a secret for too long.
This amazing sauce is really easy to make, and I love simple ways to make a plain old burger or sandwich feel gourmet or restaurant quality with a touch of extra care.
We pulled out this secret sauce at a BBQ we recently had, where we hosted the youth group from our church. We also made it when we had my husband’s office party here, too. People seemed to enjoy the sauce as much as we did.
Of course, when you present something as a “secret sauce,” everyone wants to try it. I won’t tell anyone if you want to try and pass it off as your own secret sauce.
