Our secret burger sauce recipe is not so secret anymore. Is it? This sauce adds a unique flavor to a plain old burger. My husband and I like food. We love to visit a variety of restaurants and try new things. We were at a restaurant on a date night, and he ordered a burger with their special sauce. He loved it. I tasted it. I loved it. He was taking his fries and scooping up any sauce that had spilled out onto the plate so there was none left behind. We have always found that it never hurts to ask what is in a recipe you enjoy at a restaurant. Often times they will let you know. We always like to try and guess before we ask the waiter or waitress and see if we are close in picking out the flavors. We didn’t do so bad with our guessing on this one. Of course, the next time we made a burger, we had to try and re-create this sauce. We quickly adopted it as our own secret sauce, but in the blogging world nothing stays a secret for too long. It is really easy to make, and I love simple ways to make a plain old burger or sandwich feel gourmet or restaurant quality. We pulled out this secret sauce at a BBQ we recently had where we hosted the youth group from our church. We also made it when we had my husband’s office party here too. People seemed to enjoy the sauce as much as we did. Of course, when you present something as a “secret sauce” everyone wants to try it. I won’t tell anyone if you want to try and pass it off as your own secret sauce.

Does it taste anything like in n out’s sauce? It looks like theirs but without the relish. Our 18 hr road trip back from ca gave me lots of time to catch up on your amazing blog! I might have to rethink Kivi’s wakeboard party and use some of your cute mermaid decor!
