Portable Felt Activity Binder
We recently went on a family vacation, and this portable felt activity binder came along for the ride. It not only kept my kids entertained on the car ride, but all the kids at the camp site were very drawn to it. It was often out on the picnic table being played with by kids of all ages. My three year old needed a little help, but my other kids could work pretty independently. This post also contains other ideas for making travel with kids easier.
All that you need to know to create this binder is laid out at Kids Activities Blog, where I am writing today. The post includes printables, affiliate links so that you can find the exact felt pieces I used and a full tutorial for putting the binder together. I would encourage you to bounce over there so you can get the full concept and experience. I really do believe your kids would love making one of these, and I really did all of the hard part for you. Just print out the printables and gather your materials, and the assembly will take minutes.
More Ideas for Traveling with Kids
Traveling with kids provides its own set of challenges. The memories and family bonding that occurs make it all worth it. That said, I would encourage you to get systems in place for making travel as easy as possible. Having fun activities like this portable felt activity binder will aid in keeping kids engaged on car rides, plane rides or on the actual trip, but I wanted to give you some other things we have found that work for us while traveling with our littles. I hope the following posts equip you for your own trips easier.

I hope you feel better prepared to travel with kids after reading this post. The time spent together building memories is well worth it.
What an awesome idea! Especially when at appointments to keep the kids busy and not bored 🙂
Thanks. My kids have really loved it. I hope you might make one too. 🙂
