We didn’t have a lot of time today. Wednesdays are always our busiest days, but I still wanted to do something simple. What’s great about it, is that you can do it too. It doesn’t matter how busy you are today. You can do it sitting at a restaurant or at the kitchen table when you have a few minutes. It’s an activity that focuses on writing skills. I did it on a white board, but just grab a piece of paper or a napkin. It was really meant for my 3 year old, Kenzie, but Abby wanted to participate too. You basically draw a starting point and ending point. I asked their girls their favorite place, and they decided on the zoo. Then, I just draw a bunch of lines for them to avoid. if it’s too easy, just add more lines and draw them closer together. This develops their skills in being able to maneuver a pen around a piece of paper (in this case, a white board). It also helps them learn how to hold a writing utensil correctly. I had to include the picture of Kenzie with her swimming goggles on. You gotta just love kids. Mine have a special affinity for accessories of all sorts.
Genius! Simple, easy, fun…I love it! My heart melts when I see pictures like your lake one with two girls, then a little boy. That’s what I have! Mine are 8,7, 5 and a half..yes, that half is important!
