This is a shout out to my fabulous husband. He came home from work, handed me a Starbucks card and said, “After dinner, leave me with the dishes and kids and go to Starbucks to have some time alone.” Pitter Patter. Earlier we had talked about making cookies together. So, as I was leaving he asked, “Can I still make cookies?” (He loves making cookies). I said, “Sure.” I did tell him that I was going to be a crazy blogging woman and turn our cookies into an array of rainbow colors. Needless to say, I came how to a man cooking six dozen rainbow chocolate chip cookies (our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe) with his kids. I’m so blessed.
What a sweet man!! Just found your blog, love reading through your posts! You sound like a fabulous, loving mom, keep up the great work! Looking forward to reading more of your adventures!
Thank you so much! I do have a sweet man, and I really appreciate your nice words. It’s hard work, but I’m trying.
How precious!!! I love it! That is so sweet of your hubby! My hubby just took the boys to the park on a Sat. morning and when my son asked if I was going, my hubby said, “No, Mommy needs to stay here and rest by herself.” Gotta love the men God created just for us! Have a blessed day, Jodi!
I know. I’m just glad he had a better plan that mine all the way along. Didn’t find this guy until I was 29, but it was worth the wait.
You are a blessed woman to have such a wonderful man. Those cookies look so yummy good idea going to try it out with my kids. Thanks for sharing
I do have a good guy. Thanks. I hope you try it with the kids. Let me know if you do.
How fun are these?!?! And lucky you! I wish someone would bring me a Starbucks card and give me alone time! =o)
That alone time is so needed. You may need to ask, but I hope you take the time to re-charge. You’re doing great things.
I loved this post! So cute. I like the pic of Corbin standing with the girls looking in the oven 🙂 And kudos to Jeremy for planning to give you some alone time AND still doing the cookies. You should have called me up and I would have gone to Starbucks with you! Starbucks is always more fun with a friend 🙂
He’s a good man. I should have called you. Maybe next time.
