My niece just turned 12, and as always, my sister-in-law nailed it with this fabulous movie theater birthday party. The kids had so much fun celebrating, and I was so impressed by the decorations.

Both the Diamond Theater sign and the Happy Birthday, Ainsley, sign were made using a Cricut. If you don’t own a Cricut, making these signs using black stickers is a great option. You can decide on the exact size, but to make life easier, here are some 5″ stickers, 4″ stickers, 3″ stickers, and 2″ stickers. Here’s a link for a more personalized Art Deco font sticker.

Movie theatres serve a lot of different kinds of food these days. I am going to suggest some classic ideas as well as some more modern movie theater ideas.

- Cupcakes – Featured above you find some adorable popcorn cupcakes. These were made using my white velvet cupcake recipe and fabulous buttercream. - Watching a Movie of Course – Here’s a great list of character-building movies if that is something you’d like to include in your movie night.
- Concession Stand Raffle – My niece’s party had the cutest idea for distributing concessions. She was the server behind the booth. They had raffle tickets that they passed out to all the kids. The other end of the ticket was put in a jar. They called ticket winners one by one. Whoever was called first received the first pick of candy, soda, and chips.
