Paris Birthday Party Ideas
Confession: The pictures from this Paris-themed birthday party have been sitting in my phone for almost three years now. I have several ideas that are buried in my phone, so you will see them pop up here every once in a while.
Despite being lost for the last few years, I’m so excited to bring you this adorable French-inspired birthday party.
This party was for my niece, who has an affinity for Paris, even though she has never been. Over these years, her attraction to this magical city hasn’t changed, and her parents have plans to take her on a milestone adventure there.
To celebrate a child and highlight their own passions in the theme is delightful. My sister-in-law did such a beautiful job of bringing the Paris theme to life through her decorating.

Materials Needed for a Paris-Themed Birthday Party
Note: The following contains Amazon affiliate links. Anything you purchase through these links goes to support the free resources I provide here at Meaningful Mama. Thank you for your support!
This party, as mentioned, was a few years back. Despite that, I’m going to try to provide a material list to make life easier for you. I’ll try to come close to the items I see in the picture, but you also might need to do some of your own digging. Colors and products linked might not be exact.
I won’t be able to provide exact fonts for Cricut work either. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
I will do my best to describe the process that my sister-in-law took.

- Cricuit
- Black 12 x 12 Stock Paper – This will make the bonjour sign on the Cricut. It will also be used to make the Paris bunting and Happy Birthday bunting.
- Pale Pink Paper – This will be used to make the bunting on the Cricut.
- Spray Adhesive – Spray adhesive is a great product for attaching the letters to the bunting. Always use outside and protect your surface.
- Pink Floral Tablecloth
- Pink Floral Garland
- Fake Pink Roses
- White Fillable Cardboard Numbers – Fill these numbers with fake pink roses. Hot glue them in place.
- Black Metal Eiffel Towers – This is for the table and cake.
- Tall Black Eiffel Tower – This one is for the front of the table. I could only find this exact one on EBay for a lot of money.
- Two-Tiered Black Serving Stand – I couldn’t find her exact one, but I picked out one that would be cute.
- Black Cake Stand – Couldn’t get close to the one she chose, so I picked out another.
- Black and White Striped Cupcake Holders
- Black and White Striped Fabric – This is for the DIY awning.
- Lemonade Stand – My brother-in-law made this lemonade stand a while back, and they’ve been able to use it for so many parties and purposes. I linked to an adorable Amazon equivalent.
- Black Tulle Pieces with Black Beads – I don’t know if she bought these pre-made, but I couldn’t find them, so I linked to two items to do a DIY option.
- Black and White Twine – This is for hanging the bunting.
- White Outdoor Garden Table and Chairs
- Pink Vase
- Eiffel Tower Party Plates

Food Ideas for a Paris-Themed Birthday Party
To get the Paris theme right, one must serve French party food. While I didn’t get pictures of what was served at this party, I thought it would be fun and helpful to come up with some great food ideas to help assist with your own party planning.
- White Velvet Cake with Buttercream – These are the two recipes she used for this cake. She did rosettes to decorate both the cupcakes and the cake. Rosettes are actually pretty easy to make. Here’s a tutorial.
- Macrons – This recipe is from Preppy Kitchen. His recipes haven’t failed me yet.
- Simple Croissant Sandwiches – This could be in the form of a sandwich bar where people can make their own.
- Homemade Croissants – I don’t know why I’ve been intimidated to make homemade croissants, but I definitely want to give it a go at some point.
- Bread & Cheese Station – Simply set out a number of different cheeses and pair them with some baguettes. You could also have a cured meats to slice.
- Bunches of Grapes
- Mini Quiche Lorraines
- Crepes – These can have both savory and sweet fillings. My blender crepes are super easy. I love mine with prosciutto, goat cheese, and fig preserves, but you can visit the linked post for my great topping ideas. This could be presented in a crepe bar. There’s a video included in my post to help inspire ideas.
- Madeleines – I’ve linked to Preppy Kitchen’s recipe, but you can also buy them pre-made here.

Paris Birthday Party Craft and Game Ideas
Here are some craft, game, and activity ideas for a Paris-themed birthday party.
Crafts & Games
- Pipe Cleaner Eiffel Towers
- Notre Dame Stained Glass are and 9 Other France Crafts for Kids
- Parisian Fashion Designer Challenge – Divide the kids into groups to create “haute couture.” Give them rolls of pink crepe paper, washi tape, and ribbons. They have 10 minutes to dress one member of the group like a Parisian model for a “runway walk.”
- Paris Bingo
- French Scavenger Hunt – Hide small French-themed items (mini Eiffel Towers, macarons, berets) or use “French clue cards” that they have to translate to find the next location.
- The “Great Baguette Race” – A silly, high-energy relay. Kids must race from one end of the room to the other with a baguette balanced on their head. If it drops, they start over.
- Pin the Tail on the Poodle
- French Boy Toilet Paper Roll Craft
I hope you have found inspiration here for a Paris-themed party.
