Random Acts of Kindness – Christmas Edition
The Christmas season can get very self-focused for kids. Wish lists become long, and our busy schedules can be distracting from the real meaning behind Christmas.
Jesus is the reason for the season, and He taught the basic truth of loving others as well. We learn in the Bible that these three remain: faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love.
Teaching our kids, through action, the truth about love is a beautiful and important thing. This free printable with random acts of Christmas kindness is meant to do just that.

How to Use these Christmas Kindness Printables
When working with kids, I always want to start with the why. As a Christian, kindness is rooted in God’s love. We love because God first loved us.
People of all beliefs, however, can recognize the benefits of kindness. This is a hurting world. To lighten someone’s load by spreading kindness is a good thing to do. You are here because you believe that.
Once you have established the why, set the goal. Make this goal manageable and achievable. If you want to go big and try and accomplish all 24 items, more power to you. If you would prefer to let your kids know the goal is to accomplish 10 of these things, and then try and go above and beyond with excitment, do that. You can have your kids identify thier own goals also.
Each family will know what is manegable within their own constraints, so embrace what you can do rather than beating yourself up for what you cannot.
I tried to give a variety of ideas that are simple and some that are more involved. You can try and do these day by day a prescribed, or you can let kids know they can do what they feel lead to do in any given day.
Kids can get a reward sticker (Amazon affiliate link), or you can sign off when they accomplish each Christmas random act of kindness.
In the end, you can print out the certificate if they were able to reach their goal. I wouldn’t just hand out this certificate willy nilly. It’s for accomplishing what they set out to accomplish. If they didn’t make their goal, just remind them that each act of kindness was a reward in and of itself. Hopefully, they will learn to appreciate the intrisic reward of doing well by others.
