Easy Oreo Buttercream Frosting Recipe
It was my son’s birthday. He loves Oreo anything. From ice cream to truffles to frosting, it’s all good in his book.
Initially, he asked me to make my Oreo bats, but they didn’t quite fit his birthday theme, so I steered him toward a cake. It wasn’t surprising when he requested an Oreo frosting for his birthday cake.

- 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 6 oz heavy whipping cream
- 1 heaping cup of Oreo cookie crumbs (10 Oreo cookies)
Note: Oreo cookie crumbs can be purchased in the baking aisle of most grocery stores. Alternatively, you can make your own using a food processor. Make sure they are processed into small bits so the Oreo frosting does not get stuck in your piping tip.
